GovOversight.net follows attacks on checks and balances within the Executive Branch.
The President is amassing unprecedented power over the entire the U.S. government. I am documenting and analyzing his consolidation of power with legal analysis and original research.
A focus area is his removal of officials from boards, commissions, and entities intended be independent. The firing of inspectors general in January 2025 first got me interested in the removal power. This led me towards historical research into the 1935 Humphrey’s Executor case. As a few isolated removals became a purge of boards and commissions with use of very heavy-handed tactics against small, Congressionally-authorized entities, I began deep-dives into these cases.
